Dr. Rode received her DVM from Michigan State
University College of Veterinary Medicine and went on to start her own
practice, Chelsea Animal Hospital. When asked about what she believes to be her
most notable achievements, Dr. Rode said, “I am most proud of three things: my
incredible, loyal, and dedicated staff, many of which have been with me for
over a decade; my clients (some of whom) have been with me for the nearly 30
years I have been in practice, along with their children and sometimes grandchildren;
and the talented mentees I have helped guide into this amazing profession.” In
addition to her work with Chelsea Animal Hospital and the AVMA Board of
Trustees, Dr. Rode has served locally on her hospital board, Rotary Club, and
the Education Foundation and Downtown Development Authority.
